Cherry Hitkari is a PhD student at the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Delhi. She holds a Masters in East Asian Studies from the University of Delhi and a Bachelors (Hons.) in History from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. Cherry participated as a delegate and delegate journalist at the 2023 Yenching Global Symposium convened by Peking University. She has been associated with Pacific Forum (Hawaii, USA) as a Non-resident Fellow and Young Leader. She has been the recipient of the Mira Sinha-Bhattacharjea Award at the 15th All India Conference of China Studies convened by ICS Delhi (2022), the Best Paper Award at the Network for Advanced Study of China Fellowship Conference convened by Takshashila Institution (2024), the Best Paper (Thematic Panel) award at the 2nd All India Conference of East Asian Studies convened by ICS Delhi (2024), Indira Menon Award (2018) for contribution in the field of Art And Architecture, Thelma Mercia Award (2019) and Dr. Visalakshi Menon Award (2019-20) for Academic Excellence as a student of History at JMC. Her work has been featured in the Australian Naval Review, Beijing Review, Straits Times, Asia Times, Indo-Pacific Defense Forum, Think20 G20 Brasil 2024, Lowy Institute, and South China Morning Post.
Raj Gupta has completed a B.A. (Hons) in Chinese & M.A. in Chinese from the Centre for Chinese and South-East Asian Studies (CCSEAS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He was awarded the CSC Scholarship through the Ministry of Human Resource Development, GOI, for pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Chinese at Beijing Language & Culture University, Beijing (2019-2020). He was awarded JRF in Chinese by the UGC in 2019. His research interests include Chinese politics and the history of the CPC. He is currently pursuing his PhD from CCSEAS, JNU, and his doctoral thesis focuses on the three Historical Resolutions of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He has presented research works at the All India Conference of China Studies.
