CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Position: Research Assistant

Duration: Six months/ One year (probation for 3 months), extendable; full-time/regular.

Qualification & Eligibility Criteria:

• Ph.D.  in any Social Science Discipline with an interest in China or East Asia. Those pursuing Ph.D. and have got their synopsis registered will also be considered.
• Excellent research, writing, editing and communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Canva, MS Office, Zoom and other technical skills.
• Willing to take up administrative responsibilities, with ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines. 
• Language proficiency is desirable and would be considered as an additional asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Researching and writing on topics related to China or East Asia.
• Assisting research faculty on various projects.
• Organizing events, writing newsletters and mails, handling website, content editing.

Consolidated Remuneration:

Consolidated remuneration of Rs 30,000/- will be paid per month, subject to income tax deduction, as per rules. Preference will be given to candidate having some prior experience. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.

• A brief proposal (2000 words) on a topic of your interest (must include China or East Asia)
• Two writing samples (published or drafts)
• Two letters of recommendation
