The New Year's Day of 2026 is fast approaching, inevitably bringing to mind Chairman Mao's 1949 New Year’s address, “Carry the Revolution Through to the End,” and the momentous mission of unifying the motherland, just as it was during the liberation of all of China. This classic document, released by the great leader at a crucial moment in the War of Liberation, exposed the conspiracy of the US and Chiang Kai-shek’s feigned peace talks, shattered the unrealistic illusions of some, and thus became a mobilization order for the liberation of all of China. It wrote a glorious chapter in the history of the Communist Party of China leading the people to establish a new China, and therefore has significant implications and important guiding significance for today’s determination to reunify the motherland and resolutely eliminate interference in unification.
