Tanishka was a Research Intern at the Institute of Chinese Studies, Delhi. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s Degree from the Department of International Studies, Christ University, Bangalore. She completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. Her research interests include China’s increasing presence in the South Pacific Islands, Changing foreign policy of Pacific islands towards China with a specific focus on the Solomon Islands and Kiribati.
The People’s republic of China has become diplomatic partner and the second largest aid provider to many Pacific Island countries in the last two decades.
