KANGKANA HAZARIKA

Kangkana Hazarika is a Research Intern at the Institute of Chinese Studies and is a researcher specializing in international relations, diplomacy and water security. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Economics, and Journalism and a postgraduate degree in MA Diplomacy, Law and Business from Jindal School of International Affairs.

Kangkana has gained practical experience through internships and research projects, including work at the East Asia Centre of the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA) and Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Her research has focused on issues such as Brahmaputra River governance, India-China water relations, and regional energy security. She is passionate about combining policy analysis with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and aspires to establish a foreign policy and strategic consulting platform that integrates spatial analysis with policy research.
