Atul B Shankar is a third-year undergraduate student pursuing his BA (Hons.) in International Relations at the Capital Centre, Central University of Kerala. He has a keen interest in Chinese language, culture, history and geopolitics. His research focuses on analyzing China’s projected demographic decline—stemming from decades of the stringent One Child Policy—and its implications for India, including potential strategic and economic opportunities. He is currently a research intern at the Institute of Chinese Studies, New Delhi.
