ARPITA VICTOR

Arpita Victor is a research intern at ICS. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in East Asian Studies from the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Delhi. Her interests lie broadly in East Asian geopolitics and how the rest of East Asia is cultivating a political identity in opposition to Communist China, as seen in the rise of the Indo-Pacific. Along these lines, her research during her time at the ICS revolves around the role of technology (especially surveillance and social media) in inter and intra state relations in East Asia - particularly China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia in 2020.
