EVENTS

The 20th Russia-India-China Trilateral Academic Conference took place in Beijing from 18-19 November 2025. These academic exchanges commenced in Moscow in September 2001 involving scholars from the Institute of Far Eastern Studies (IFES), now the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia (ICCA), Russian Academy of Sciences, China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), Beijing and the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS) Delhi. Supported by the governments of the three countries, these conferences have since been held annually in each of the three capitals on a rotational basis and have played a constructive role in fostering mutual understanding and building a broader consensus. The 20th conference focused on the theme of "RIC Cooperation in an Era of Century-defining Transformation". This panel discussion will feature presentations by the members of the ICS delegation to this conference, which will encompass their own papers as well as their assessments of the outcomes of this Conference.

Panelists

Anuradha M. Chenoy is a former Professor and Dean at the School of International Studies, JNU and an Adjunct Professor at the School of International Affairs, Jindal Global University.

Ashok K. Kantha is a former Ambassador to China; an Honorary Fellow at the Institute of Chinese Studies, New Delhi and a Distinguished Fellow at the Vivekananda International Foundation.

Aravind Yelery is an Associate Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and an Honorary Fellow at the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), New Delhi.

Moderator

Alka Acharya is a former Professor and Chairperson at the Centre for East Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and the Director of the Institute of Chinese Studies, New Delhi.
