Amb. Sun Weidong will share his perspectives on recent developments in the India-China relationship and its evolving contours. His remarks will be followed by Q&A session.

About the Speaker

Amb. Sun Weidong has been Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to India since 2019. Prior to this, he was Director General, Department of Policy Planning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) from 2017-2019 and Ambassador of China to Pakistan from 2013-2017. He had earlier served as Counsellor, Embassy of China in India from 2005-2008. He has also held other appointments at MOFA and the Embassy of China in Malaysia
