On 22 May 2026, Ms. Sumaya Baqavi, Deputy High Commissioner, High Commission of the Republic of Singapore in New Delhi, along with Mr. Joshua Lim, First Secretary (Political), visited the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), New Delhi, to interact with fellows and researchers, at ICS’ invitation. The interaction covered themes including India-China relations, Singapore-China relations, and ASEAN’s partnerships with both India and China. The Singaporean perspective provided new insights into the possibilities for India-China relations, as well as India’s engagement of ASEAN. The interaction was attended by fellows of the ICS, including Prof. Sreemati Chakrabarti, Prof. Sabaree Mitra, Prof. Biswajit Dhar, Dr. Partha Mukhopadhyay, Dr. Rityusha Mani Tiwary, and, Mr. Santosh Pai, along with researchers that make up Team ICS.
