On 12 February 2026, the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), New Delhi hosted a delegation from the China International Communications Group (CICG) Center for Europe and Asia (China Pictorial Publications), Beijing, People’s Republic of China. The delegation included Mr. Qiao Zhenqi, Director of New Media Operations; Ms. Wang Shuo, Vice-President of CICG Centre for Europe and Asia (China Pictorial Publications); and, Ms. Bian Xiuhong, Event Coordinator of CICG Centre for Europe and Asia (China Pictorial Publications). The ICS was represented by the Chairperson, Prof. Sreemati Chakrabarti, Prof. Alka Acharya, Director, and researchers and interns. The delegation interacted with the faculty at the Institute, and discussed various aspects of collaboration and exchanges for enhancing academic and cultural understanding. The discussion also covered the current dynamics of India-China bilateral relations, and ways in which such collaboration can aid in improving ties. The interaction culminated with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the ICS and the CICG.
