Nishant Dilip Sharma is a research intern at Institute of Chinese Studies, Delhi. He is pursuing his M.A. in International Studies from Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. He completed his B.A. (Hons.) in Journalism and Mass Communication from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore. His has previously interned as an opinion writer and panelist at Indian Folk, Bangalore and as a news writer for News Track Live Infomedia in Indore. Apart from this, he has also worked as Content Manager for Capital Via Global Research and Feedify. His foray into International Relations stems from his interests in areas such as governance, climate policies and Chinese Studies. His ongoing research titled- “Separatism, Security and Social Credit: The techno-surveillance age in China” focuses on the dual nature of surveillance in China under the Social Credit System. He has also written papers on Basic Income and its possible frameworks including one based on partial funding through carbon taxation.
