MALLIKA BORA

Mallika Bora is a Research Assistant at the Institute of Chinese Studies, New Delhi. Her academic background is rooted in the interdisciplinary course of Global Studies with specialisation in political economy from Ambedkar University Delhi. Currently, she is a doctoral researcher at the Department of East Asian Studies, Centre for China at University of Delhi. Her research examines through comparative case study analysis the political economy of the peripheral regions of China and India and the process of their integration into the global capitalist system. Her core research domain is Political Economy with a particular focus on political history, movements and comparative political economy of China and India.



Areas of interest

Political economy with an emphasis on the development of peripheral regions, political and social movements, political and economic history, and discourses and practices of alternate models of development.
