DIVISHA SRIVASTAVA

Divisha Srivastava is a Research Assistant at the Institute of Chinese Studies and currently holds the Unni Kartha Chair of Excellence in History with the Indian Air Force and the Centre for Aerospace Power and Strategic Studies. She has a Ph.D. in International Relations from the South Asian University; in her doctoral research she undertook a comparative study of water security narratives in China and India. She holds a Master’s in Politics with a specialisation in International Studies from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science (Hons) from the University of Delhi. Her current research explores the role of identity and nationalism in shaping imagined socio-political futures for refugees in protracted exile, drawing connections between culture, constitutional-institutional mechanisms, and inter- generational differences. Her research interests encompass the interplay of memory, power, and identity politics, with a specific focus on issues of governance, the logics of development, and critical environmental security.
