CALL FOR PAPERS
Deadline to send abstracts extended till 9 July 2021
We would like to inform you that the last date for receiving abstracts for the 14th AICCS has been extended to 9 July 2021.
The All India Conference of China Studies (AICCS) is the flagship event of the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), convened annually in collaboration with an Indian University, with the principal objective of spreading interest in and strengthening research on China and East Asian Studies in India. The Special Theme of the 14th AICCS is “Society and Culture in China”. In addition to the Special Theme, individual abstracts and panel proposals on all China-related topics and themes may be submitted.

Deadlines:

09 July 2021: Last date for receiving abstracts (250-300 words)

19 July 2021: Notification of shortlisted abstracts

12 September 2021: Last date for receiving full papers (5000-6000 words)

11 October 2021: Announcement of final papers
We accept abstracts in the following formats:
1. Individual Abstracts: should mention the author’s name, institutional affiliation, email and postal address, together with the title of the paper and a brief bio.
2. Panel Proposals: 3-4 paper abstracts, including the name of the panel organiser, chair and participants, and optionally a discussant.
The abstracts and panel proposals should be emailed to Dr. Reeja Nair at aiccs.ics@gmail.com and copied to info@icsin.org.
The best paper presented by a young & emerging scholar at AICCS will be given the Mira Sinha Bhattacharjea Award, with a prize money of Rs.25,000/-. Selection will be made on the basis of methodology, argument and presentation. The selected paper will be published by ICS. Further relevant information will be posted in due course of time on the ICS website.
